At Barrow Hill Barns we want to make everyone’s stay as enjoyable as possible, and are committed to providing suitable access for all our guests, whatever their individual needs. We aim to accurately describe our facilities and services to give you the confidence to book the right cottage for your specific requirements.

All Cottages

Level Access

The main entrance of every cottage has level access.
In every cottage apart from Boxsteddle, there is level access from the main entrance to:
- At least one bedroom
- Toilet and shower
- Lounge
- Lawn Area
- Patio

Bedrooms

We have non-allergic bedding.

Level access bedrooms

The route to the bedroom is 750mm wide, or more.
The bedroom door is 750mm wide, or more.
The bathroom has a level access shower.

Hearing

The TVs have subtitles.

Visual

The walls and the doors have high colour contrast.

General

Staff are available 24 hours a day.
We have emergency evacuation procedures for disabled visitors.
We can move furniture, to improve accessibility.

Parking

We have a car park. There are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 10 meters from the main entrance. Parking is free.
From the car park to the entrance, there is level access.
The route is 1080mm wide, or more.
Car parks are gravel with a plastic grid so that wheelchairs and buggies can easily be moved.

Path to main entrance

From the road to the main entrance, there is level access with a ramp from the road into our site.
The path is 1080mm wide, or more.
The path is flat.

Arrival

Guests retrieve their keys from a key safe by the door on arrival and we pop in to answer any questions about the facilities once they have had a chance to settle in. However, we are happy to help guests with their luggage on arrival and departure, and to take delivery of groceries, by prior arrangement.

Holstocks – One Bedroom

Redgates – One Bedroom

Boxsteddle – Two Bedrooms

Boxsteddle is a barn conversion which has maintained a lot of its original features and layout. This means it is not best suited to those with limited mobility due to steps throughout the property and space.

Master Bedroom & En Suite

The route to the bedroom is 740mm wide, or more. There is one step up into the bedroom. The bedroom door is 780mm wide. There is 1000mm at the side of the bed. The bed is 640mm high. There is 60mm under the bed.
The bedroom is flexible (either double or twin). The bathroom is ensuite and is one step down from the bedroom. The bathroom door is 700mm wide.
There is 570mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 440mm high.

Second Bedroom & En Suite

The second bedroom is on the first floor via 9 steps with a hand rail to the right as you climb the stairs. The Stair case is 800mm wide.
